Hi Srimadhwa,
It's just like d0001 wrote - the DellSupport Assist application, which always worked perfectly, started to crash since latest updates were installed.
Please have a closer look at it, because this app is quite important when it comes to use DELL hardware.
As I can see, there are more and more calls / people, facing the same issue.
The issue was also raised on Dell's support forum, with no solution I'm afraid.
Regards.

Hi HaraldKlepzig,
Thanks, I am aware. I provided the link by myself, so I follow the latest news about it on Dell's site.
BUT, this issue can always be related with updates for both systems (Win7, Win10), which are very similar to each other.
Regards.

I realized when looking at the thread on the Dell site that my systems do not have the same presentation. On a two year old XPS 2720 which came with Win 10, it shows as yours does. On the newer system it shows with two additional options for Optimization and Driver Update.
The latest SupportAssist shows a version 2.0.6875.402 with a SupportAssistAgent 2.0.1.7

Hi All,
I think I have some good news. I just upgraded my laptop (the only update was available for BIOS to be precise) via Dell's Support website and it worked! The SupportAssist does NOT crash any more (without re-installing). Please verify your machines.
Best Regards!
